Coming Back to Sofia Staying with Petya and Ivan, this is a guarantee for having party! :-) Getting some sleep and relax after the last weeks of stress is quite good for me! :-)

Car status After my car was standing around for four months it started instantly - what a good feeling! :-)

Party in Sophia Petya did her best job in making me stay in Sophia - lots of party nights with her super nice colleagues and friends. After staying with her and her boyfriend Ivan for more than a week I really had to go east.

Entering Turkey Lucky me met two women who could speak German, Bulgarian and Turkey, who helped me pretty good with entering Turkey without making myself totally naked at the border - thank you very much Michaela and Dani!!

Istanbul I dived again into this magnificent city with this special way of life, colours, people..., enjoyed breakfast on the bridge at the harbour, spent some good hours in the Topkapi museum and today was enjoying to the full the treatment of a local barber - results you will see! :-) Now it’s time to go to Ankara and honour Ataturk in his mausoleum...

The way to Ankara The way out of Istanbul was crazy enough: just one-ways, super narrow streets, underbridges to small for me to pass, traffic, etc... But then after entering Asia and driving for an hour, I heard something strange in my car... in the under-bonnet area - oh-god - I had to stop and check... ... well I was very lucky - the drive belt was not broken totally! One kilometre ahead and my engine could have been broken! :-) The Golden Angels took me to a garage nearby and they fixed my car overnight. Meanwhile I stayed in a nice hotel with gym and sauna and good food - again I didn't sleep in my car! :-)

Ankara After getting back my car and doing some oil check and so it got quite late to go to Ankara so I arrived in the city when it was already dark. Nonetheless I tried to find Ataturk’s mausoleum to get there early next morning... Well it took me more than one hour to get there in this stupid city because nowhere you can make a u-turn, turn as you like, get out of a roundabout - argh - I really got mad!! Well, while trying to get to the mausoleum I found a nice street with cafes and bars and good atmosphere. I drove back there after the mausoleum and found a nice spot to park my car and a cafe where I could watch footy (Champions League was on). Early next morning I visited the mausoleum which was quite impressive! I wanna get buried alike! ;-) After sightseeing I drove back to the bar area and found my beloved internet cafe where I stayed the next two days full! :-) After getting an invitation to stay with the cousin of the bar owner it was hard to convince them that I really wanna stay overnight in my car! But it was worth the effort and it was a wonderful night!! Maybe I slept too good, because I didn't even hear the garbage collector taking all the garbage around me - don't tell any potential burglars! ;-)
