Diary - 2010 January (Bali)

Every party die hard need a time out at one point and so the whole French Connection, Eva and me we headed out for a trip to Lombock where the surf is better and the whole party is a beer at the restaurant.

The journey to Lombock was scheduled as an easy roadtrip with five scooters (the surfboards attached on the side) and short crossing with the ferry to Lombock island and another one and a half hour ride to the beach for a sunrise surf. Well, with eleven people to gather and organize the right bike and all the stuff it was not ten in the evening when we started but around one thirty in the morning! :-) And driving all the way down to our resort in Kuta (same name different island) we had altogether six flat tires!!! Unbelievable but true!! :-) We were quite lucky to always find repair shops very fast - especially in the middle of the night! Waiting for the ferry in the night just gave us another hour delay and so there was not even no sunrise surf but no sunset surf, as well! :-)

But it didn’t matter. With Ivo from Holland, his girlfriend Widia from Indonesia and all the Frenchies we had a perfect time going out surfing, enjoying the swimming pool, playing cards in the evening and just coming down after the hard core party time in Kuta.
After coming home to Kuta Bali, my birthday was coming up and the guys gave me quite a nice party surprising me with a real birthday cake (thank you so much Yeska) and a very cool time in Adabar and Bounty.
