Diary - 2008 May (Turkey, Iran)

Turkey is different than I thought!

Turkey was fantastic! I didn't know that Turkey has so beautiful landscapes in such a big variety!! And the people were all super nice, the more I got east the

more people waved hands and gave me a thumbs up and asked if I need help - or of course a tea! :-) Even in Ankara I was asked to stay in a private house after I told the owner of the restaurant that I will sleep in my car. And to stay in a cafe the whole day eat twice and drink the whole time cost just around Euro 30,-! :-) Everything is super easy, prices are low, my weather was not the best but it was always warm, if you like driving than it's easy although there are gazillions of trucks on the streets! Of course there is enough culture so it's not just landscapes but also sights! If you do have time and think about going to Turkey: Take a rental car and go to the east - or make a bus tour in case you don't wanna drive that far on your own - it's definitely worth the time!!
